


ABOUT US
Kelab Silat Varsiti Gerak 41 was formed in 1991 and is one of the organizations affiliated with Persatuan Seni Bela Diri Pencak Silat Gerak 41. Pencak Silat is a Malay martial arts that originated from southeast Asia. The meaning of “Gerak 41” is four techniques used in one movement which was formed by Haji Ibrahim Bin Haji Mohammad in 1979. The four techniques used are called “Cakak and Kuntau Asli”, “Aliran Cahaya”, “Panca Sunda”, and “Betawi Gelombang 12”.
This club activity teaches hand-on-hand combat, knife defence, takedown and ground fighting where the fighters only require to use minimum amount of energy to exert maximum damage to their opponents.
OBJECTIVES
To introduce the Seni Bela Diri Pencak Silat Gerak 41 to students of Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Our main aim is to preserve the Brunei-Malay martial art Silat Culture as well as to teach self-defence through the syllabus taught by the Seni Bela Diri Pencak Silat Gerak 41.
