PKT UBD (Platun Kadet Tentera Universiti Brunei Darussalam) was officially launched on Saturday 26th Safar 1430, corresponding to 21st February 2009. The platoon was managed by the ECA unit, Student Affairs Department (HEP), as the first uniform squad ever establish in any higher institution colleges in Brunei Darussalam. The women cadet was also introduced, which also includes Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah.

PKT UBD not only deals solely in military activities but also in handling an organization. Students will learn how to do paper works for organizing activities and handling formal meetings.
